Now under new management, Union Bar has been reinvigorated with a new look and atmosphere. Union Bar was the kind of place that you can bring a client to. While that is still largely true, a younger, hipper crowd has begun to frequent the place. The prices of drinks aren’t cheap. $5 Budweisers are the cheapest drink available. There is a happy hour so if you work in the Union Square area, you should take advantage especially if you like martinis. Their martinis come with exotic names like Blood Orange and Tango and they taste great. The food is a bit pricier than it should be. French fries go for $5 and calamari is $9. Another downside is that when the bar gets more crowded, the staff seems to get more agitated and downright rude.
