David Arquette:

The youngest of five, David Arquette was born in Virginia and is part of the illustrious Arquette family whose work has spread over many generations. Like siblings Rosanna Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Richmond Arquette and Alexis Arquette, David started working at an early age and his first major role came as Luke Perry's best friend in the hit film Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) But his major break both personally and professionally didn't come until 1996 when he was cast in the slasher flick Scream (1996) starring opposite close friend Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell and more importantly "Friends" (1994), with Courteney Cox who he married in San Fransisco in the summer of 1999. Scream (1996) earned worldwide success and acclaim as did Arquette for his role as lovable simple cop "Dewey". His role proved to be so popular that in the original script his character was meant to die, but due to test audiences response to Dewey the script was changed and he returned for both Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 3 (2000). Usually known for his goofiness in more mainstream roles, his greatest preformances and reviews have come for his indie films such as Johns (1996), Dream with the Fishes (1997) and The Grey Zone (2001). David and wife Courteney Cox reside in LA and produce their own DIY show "Mix It Up" (2003) because of their love for home improvement.

Politik:

Born and raised in Los Angeles, 24-year old DJ Politik has become known locally and internationally for his energetic, eclectic, and tasteful style of spinning records. He currently sits atop a short list of open-format DJs called upon by top nightclubs, corporate clients and event producers looking for the perfect balance of top-40, hip-hop, house, indie dance, rock, pop & classics.

DJ Politik’s love affair with music began at an unusually young age. The son of a successful Russian pop singer, he spent many of his early days in the studio with his mother, listening to whatever tapes & CDs were lying around – Michael Jackson, The Beach Boys, Depeche Mode, and Run DMC, among others, were all early influences.

As he grew older, the burgeoning sound of 90’s hip-hop began to catch his ear and soon introduced him to the art of DJing. It wasn’t long until he purchased a set of belt-drive Gemini turntables, a beat up 2-channel battle mixer, and a handful of hip-hop records. A bedroom DJ was born.

Always ahead of his time, he would venture out to Hollywood at the tender age of 16 and began to discover what being a club DJ was all about. DJ AM, Samantha Ronson, StoneRokk, Adam 12, and DJ Vice all played a major role in his development as an all-around DJ – cutting, blending, and even dropping records from the top when appropriate. More importantly, interacting with and taking the crowd on a musical journey.

After years in the bedroom, performing at high school parties, and one-off stints at local clubs such as Les Deux, MyHouse, and Coco de Ville, club owners & promoters began to take notice.

High-profile local residencies at hotspots Playhouse, Voyeur, and Trousdale eventually led the young talent to Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Chicago, and Atlantic City, where he now holds residencies at top venues in each market – TAO & LAVO (Las Vegas), 1OAK & SL (NYC), LIV (Miami), Studio Paris (Chicago), and The Borgata (Atlantic City).

More recent events include private celebrity bashes for Usher, Nicole Richie, and P. Diddy, as well as corporate shindigs with Microsoft, Red Bull, Coca-A-Cola, OP, Neuro, Dolce & Gabbana, and Armani Exchange.

With the recent rise in popularity of DJing and influx of newbie DJs, Politik holds firm to the philosophy of “it’s not just what you play, it’s how you play it.” Surely enough, this philosophy comes full circle within minutes of hearing one of his sets.
